The collection includes a total of about 200 boats. The majority of the collection consists of  boats built in the Finger Lakes Region.  The few exceptions are boats that were built elsewhere but had an historic impact on the region.  There are 40 or so boats on exhibit and 160 boats in storage.  In addition to boats, the Museum has a large collection of vintage boat motors and boating-related ephemera that complement the exhibits.
